The location was convenient, close to the train station and attractions like the castle. The traditional Tatami rooms were comfortable and the kitchen facilities were well-equipped for self-catering. The hosts were friendly and provided helpful tips for exploring the area. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this guesthouse.

I had an amazing experience at the Backpackers in Matsumoto. the owner and his family were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. the Japanese-style rooms were cozy and comfortable, and I loved the extra touch of the hot bottles on chilly nights. the location next to the river was peaceful and conveniently close to a supermarket and the city center. It was the perfect base for exploring the Japanese Alps and starting my hikes.

The guests were friendly and approachable, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The safety and honesty in this country is amazing, allowing you to relax and trust the people. The owner, Brian, could easily become a friend with his optimistic and realistic attitude. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with a shared kitchen and ski storage. The free Wi-Fi and board games were a bonus. I will definitely be returning to this amazing place.
